Daniel graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Masters degree in engineering. As a Fellow of Cambridge Judge Business School he is pursuing research on the competitiveness of high- growth firms in China. His doctoral research was part of the UK Innovation Productivity Grand Challenge to provide fresh insights into the generation of wealth from knowledge in advanced economies.

In addition, Daniel is currently the Secretary-General of the Cambridge Judge Business School China Advisory Council which promotes a deeper understanding of China amongst academics.
